Support for Children

A safe space for children to explore their feelings, strengths, and unique story.

Every child experiences challenges at times. I offer a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where children can feel safe to explore their experiences, develop emotional understanding, and strengthen their confidence and resilience.

Rather than focusing solely on symptoms or behaviour, I look at the whole child — their relationships, environment, emotional world, strengths, and unique story

When children may benefit from support

Some children struggle with worries, strong emotions, friendships, confidence, behaviour, sleep, or adjusting to changes in their lives. Others may find school demands overwhelming or have difficulty expressing what they are feeling inside.

Support may be helpful for children experiencing:

  • Anxiety and worries
  • Emotional overwhelm or difficulty regulating emotions
  • Friendship and social challenges
  • Low confidence or self-esteem
  • School-related stress or anxiety
  • Behavioural or emotional difficulties
  • Sleep difficulties
  • Big life transitions and family changes
  • Grief and loss
  • Experiences that feel overwhelming or difficult to process

How sessions are tailored

Sessions are shaped around each child’s age, personality, strengths, and needs. Depending on the child, they may include conversation, creative activities, emotional-regulation strategies, play-based approaches, and parent involvement where helpful.

Having worked with children and families in international educational settings for over 25 years, I understand the many factors that influence a child’s wellbeing at home and at school. I have particular experience supporting children and families through transition, relocation, and the opportunities and challenges of internationally mobile life.

By creating a safe and supportive space, children can explore their experiences, find new ways of coping, and grow in confidence and self-understanding.

Working Together

Some children benefit from a few focused sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support. Together, we can decide what feels most helpful for your child’s needs.
